AmCham Annual Thanksgiving Dinner 2009 Review    It was the first ever family style Thanksgiving Dinner in the AmCham History which gathered more that 100 participants and created an authentic atmosphere of the biggest American holiday Proclamation from President Obama read by Brian Frere from the U.S. Embassy Tallinn, special Thanksgiving Grace by Reverend Gustav Piir, silent charity auction, generous charity raffle, special entertainment program for kids, delicious Thanksgiving meal with a perfect match of wines provided by Altia Eesti created a very special atmosphere that will be hard to forget. |

   This year AmCham members were challenged by the British-Estonian Chamber of Commerce to a very popular British game called Pub Quiz. So on October 1st eight teams representing AmCham Estonia met 3 teams from the British Chamber at the Drink Bar & Grill to compete and pick their brains on some of the general knowledge facts & figures. |

| Annual American Independence Day Picnic | ||||||
This year AmCham Estonia celebrated its Annual American Independence Day Picnic at the Ambassador’s Residence in Pirita which was a perfect place for this family style event. More than 130 participants gathered on Saturday, June 27th to enjoy an ample supply of barbequed food, salads, beer, great wine and all the fixings. The band Pay Back played some old time American rock and roll hits and Olavi Andla from Blue Drum OÜ, dressed in his Superman costume, led many fun family games.
Segway carts turned out to be one of the biggest hightlights of the event as those who dared to take them for a test drive, rode them around the residence to the delight of the children. However, nothing could outdo McDonalds face painting, balloons and happy meals that are always one of the biggest enjoyments of the children present! |

We were happy to welcome our guest speakers from CVO Recruitment Estonia, who gave a very interesting presentation on labour topics. It was a successful event that gathered more than 20 young professionals from such companies as TEVA, Premier Restaurants Eesti, Ühinenud Ajakirjad, Luiga Mody Hääl and Borenius, etc. |
