Cyber Security Seminar with FBI

March 19, 2019 | ‒

On March 19, AmCham Estonia in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) held a very special half-day seminar devoted to the topic of the Cyber Security. It was truly amazing to see such a high interest towards this event, and topic, and we were thrilled to welcome a full house at Radisson Blu Sky Hotel!

The seminar turned out to be very insightful, as well as diverse and practical. The Unit Chief and a Supervisory Special Agent who is currently leading a Unit at FBIHQ that oversees offices located in Eastern Europe and Eurasia gave us an overview on the insider threat. Her FBI colleagues introduced some case studies and examples of the high tech organized crime and business email compromise scams. After a short break, a special FBI agent gave a presentation on the emerging cyber threats and the half-day seminar was ended with a case study of money laundering and a complex financial frauds’ presentation by a Supervisory Special Agent of FBI.

A huge thank you to the U.S. Embassies in Estonia and Latvia for making this possible!! Of course, we would like to thank all the FBI Agents for flying in and giving us such a diverse and engaging overview of the Cyber Security topic! We would also like to thank our Charter Gold member, Radisson Blu Sky Hotel for hosting and all of our participants and invited guests for joining us!!

We truly look forward to continuing exploring the topic and integrating it into AmCham’s Advocacy activities!

Stay tuned!
