Launchpad USA Workshop in Tallinn
Yesterday, October 14, AmCham Estonia together with AmCham Finland held an interactive Launchpad USA workshop focusing on the case studies and best practices from Estonian companies that have successfully expanded their operations to the USA.
The idea of the event was to walk the participants through the main questions that they need to answer prior to making some of the important decisions about their business expansion to the US market.
Both companies represented on the panel, already work with the US market and the participants got to hear their stories and learn from their expertise and experience.
The workshop was moderated by Mike Klyszeiko, Launchpad USA Program Director from AmCham Finland. Mike has been with the Launchpad USA program for over a year now, thus working with companies who wish to enter the US market and knowing what are the most important questions and issues that arise when entering the US market.
During the workshop, Pipedrive and Boleform introduced their companies. Then two groups were formed to respond to 5 fundamental questions: Why to set up a business in the USA? How to choose your location? How to build your team in the US? How to transfer your team members from Estonia to the US? What are the business culture differences between the US and EU?
This time we were hosted by our event partner – Garage28 Hub! The place is a truly inspiring business hub and is perfectly set up for start-ups to run their business in fruitful surroundings. A big thank you to Coca-Cola Hellenic for spronsoring the soft drinks!
We also thank the AmCham Finland and Launchpad USA team for coming to Estonia and sharing your ideas with us. A big thank you also goes to the panelists who shared their knowledge and best practices. And last but not least, we thank the participants who came out and joined the discussion and workshop.
