Positioned for Success: AmCham Women in Leadership Dinner

On November 5, over 100 women gathered for the 3rd Women in Leadership event of the year. The program is designed for all AmCham female professionals and provides great opportunities to meet local and international female thought-leaders and successful executives, while also exploring the choices and tradeoffs that are faced while juggling personal and professional lives.

This time, the event was held in Nero restaurant, Tallink Spa & Conference Hotel. Our keynote speaker was from the Stanford Business School’s Center of Entrepreneurial Studies – Leah Edwards, who was in Tallinn to share her entrepreneurial expertise. Leah spoke about the differences of male and female entrepreneurs. She described various studies that were undergone to figure out why there are more male entrepreneurship students than female students and why females are intimidated by executive positions and starting their own businesses.

Our second speaker was a truly inspirational woman, an energetic bomb – Karoli Hindriks. Being quite young, yet having accomplished already so much, she is a true entrepreneurial spirit! In her speech, Karole addressed one of the hardest things female professionals face – time management and so needed balance between work, home and personal life. Karoli gave some advice to the audience on how she tackles this issue. We genuinely thank Karoli for coming out to share her knowledge and passion! Her energy and entrepreneurial drive were truly contagious!

The third part of the event was a special surprise and a ‘cherry on the cake’ to all the participants – Liina Stein Exclusive Collection Show. But it was not just a standard fashion show. AmCham Estonia and Liina Stein Fashion House invited 10 inspiring women executives from AmCham member-companies to take part in an exclusive fashion show. Ladies, who in their everyday life take care of complex business decisions from management to sales, to communication to legal issues, showcased on the catwalk 14 couture gowns handmade by Liina Stein Fashion House.

In addition to the collection show, we have raffled 7 absolutely amazing prizes generously provided by our event partners and sponsors!

We would like to thank all the event sponsors – Amway, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Freywille, Hera Salon, Lana Vallo and Glow MakeUp Studio, Tallink!

Huge thank you and admiration goes to all our own models, as well as to Liina Stein Fashion House!

And last but not least, we would like to thank all our event participants (female but also male!!), who came out and celebrated women in leadership, entrepreneurial spirit and success!
