SelectUSA Nordic Roadshow finished in Tallinn with a successful half-day seminar
On September 21, AmCham Estonia members and partners gathered for the Select USA Nordic Roadshow seminar that was co-hosted by the SelectUSA team, U.S. Embassy Tallinn, the US Commercial Service in the Nordics and AmCham Estonia. The event focused on entering the U.S. market, site selection, taxes, human resources, and other important aspects of doing business in the USA.
In addition, participants got to book one-on-one meetings with the US State Officials (representatives from EDOs of Iowa, Georgia, Minnesota, South Carolina, Ohio, Florida and others).
The director of Deloitte Matt Szuhaj talked about site selection in the US and which key decision drivers one should use for that. He also touched upon various incentives that different states offer, as well as the nuances that companies should consider when choosing a site.
Joseph J. Dehner from FrostBrownTodd spoke about the US corporate tax system and that there are definitely different factors to consider and what is the best way to set up a company when entering the market.
The U.S. Embassy Tallinn consul Lisa Cross explained the procedures of applying for various types of visas. A very useful topic when it comes to human resources, that always raises a lot of questions.
We thank the team of SelectUSA, US Commercial Service in the Nordics and the U.S. Embassy Tallinn for putting up such an informative roadshow. A big thank you to all participants who came out and attended the event. For presentations and more information, please contact our office at *protected email*
