On October 25, over 50 women gathered at the beautiful restaurant Merineitsi in Sokos Hotel Viru, to hear about the success stories of the local female executives.
This time our WIL series’ event was opened by Hannes Reinula, a Member of the Management Board and Site Manager of Eastman Specialties, who gave a male perspective on the topic of the Glass Ceiling and in his speech, he said that it is very important to recognize and deal with our bias, both conscious and unconscious. Sometimes, and in fact, very often, the boundaries that we set for ourselves exist in our mind only.
And what a layout of panelists we had this time: Nele Normak, the PR and Communications Manager for one of the largest American corporations’ representations in Estonia – Coca-Cola Baltic States. Also Toma Vezyte, the newest General Manager of one of the Rezidor group’s hotels’ in Estonia and of course Piret Mürk-Dubout – a well-know female leader in Estonia with quite a vast experience in various leadership roles and currently the Chair of the Management Board of Tallinn Airport. The panel discussion was skilfully moderated by Megan Riley of MLR Strategies, an experienced Leadership and Business Development Advisor who runs her own company now.
It was truly inspirational to hear the stories of these amazing women! All of them being bold, strong and independent who are not afraid to step forward and let the world know – they ARE WORTH IT! Thank you, ladies, for such a wonderful discussion!
