On April 18, the new Digital Society Committee was born under the umbrella of AmCham Estonia!
This committee is a new initiative that came out from the idea of transformation of the existing IPR Committee that functioned under AmCham for the last 9 years.
The aim of the committee will be to take a bigger picture of the strategy of Estonia as a Digital Society, with long-term benefits in the form of competitiveness, growth, creation of jobs, innovation and modern society.
The committee will address various topics and issues under the bigger theme of Digital Society:
- Data protection and e-Privacy (GDPR)
- Emerging Technologies (AI, 5G, etc.)
- Cyber Security and Online Safety
- Technology Transfer & IPR
- Digital Single Market
- E-Commerce
The first committee meeting gathered such members as Google, Telia, Microsoft, Sorainen, Archibus Hosting Services, Vaimo, EBS, U.S. Embassy Tallinn, Laus&Partners, Philip Morris, Maailmavalgus…
