On May 5, 2022, AmCham Estonia and its members gathered for the Annual General Meeting and Speaker Luncheon that takes place every year in May. Over 50 executives of American and Estonian companies attended the event that featured 2 keynote speakers – The Ukrainian Ambassador to Estonia Mariana Betsa and the Estonian Minister of IT and Entrepreneurship Andres Sutt. Ambassador Betsa’s speech focused on the current situation in Ukraine, the importance of solidarity and support of Ukraine with weapons, additional sanctions, and future restoration of the country.
Her speech ended with a standing ovation by all meeting participants. Ms. Betsa’s speech was followed by the presentation by Minister Sutt who has talked about the digital future of Estonia, the current issues in the IT and entrepreneurship spheres, and how Estonia can be more active in this field.
