On Friday, September 8, close to 120 business leaders gathered in Swissotel Tallinn for the 18th Annual Meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia Kaja Kallas organised and hosted by AmCham Estonia. The event was attended by over 80 AmCham members, as well as members of our partner organisations – AmCham Finland, Swedish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Finnish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce.
Prime Minister Kallas shared the main current priorities of the Estonian government and also the areas of focus for the nearest future. This included Defense & Security, Taxation changes, Education reform, Inflation and Employment situation and many others.
The keynote speech of the Prime Minister was followed by a very active Q&A with the event participants about various topics of importance to businesses in Estonia: Estonia’s role in EU as a digital frontrunner, cyber security PP partnerships, engaging private sector experts in the government’s strategy work, and others.
During the event, AmCham President Megan Riley and the chamber CEO Daria Sivovol also had an opportunity to acknowledge and highlight the chamber’s top contributors in 2023: Coca-Cola Baltic States, Pfizer, Microsoft, Datel, Raytheon, Admirals, Google.
We would like to sincerely thank Prime Minister Kallas for this year’s meeting and continuing this long-standing tradition. We would also like to thank Swissotel Tallinn for a wonderful set up for this annual meeting and a delicious lunch, as well as the event sponsors: Raytheon, Google, Admirals and Microsoft!
