On April 9, AmCham Estonia hosted an insightful webinar, featuring special guest Robin Patzelt, Consular Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn. The session provided valuable guidance for Estonian entrepreneurs and companies interested in expanding into the United States through E1 Treaty Trader and E2 Treaty Investor visas. This webinar was part of the ATLANTIC CLUB event series 2026.
Robin delivered a comprehensive overview of both visa types, outlining eligibility requirements, documentation, and application procedures. She highlighted that Estonia maintains bilateral treaties with the United States for both E1 and E2 visas—creating meaningful opportunities for Estonian businesses to trade with or invest in the U.S. market. The presentation also clarified the key differences between ESTA/B1/B2 travel options and E visas, emphasizing that E visas allow applicants not only to stay longer but also to legally work and actively manage their business operations in the United States.
Overall, the webinar offered clear, practical insights and answered many common questions, making it a valuable resource for Estonian businesses exploring opportunities in the U.S. market. We thank Robin Patzelt for her informative presentation and all participants for their engaging questions and active discussion.
