March 6: U.S. Elections Online Briefing with Jon Decker

March 6, 2024 | 13:00 ‒ 14:00

Today, we hosted another captivating online event in collaboration with AmCham Belgium and AmCham Netherlands. This time, we had the privilege of gaining exclusive insights into the U.S. Presidential election directly from Capitol Hill, courtesy of Jon Decker, the White House Correspondent for Fox News Radio. With an illustrious career spanning back to 1995, Decker has covered the administrations of Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump, standing out as the sole legal professional in the press pool. Notably, he was among the select few political journalists who accurately predicted the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

During the event, Jon Decker provided participants with a comprehensive electoral map, highlighting potential game-changer states. Breaking news revealed that Nikki Haley suspended her 2024 presidential campaign, clearing the path for Donald Trump’s Republican nomination. As tensions escalate, we keenly observe U.S. developments and their potential global impact. Jon predicts a tight election, influenced by Free Palestine supporters’ protest voting in states like Michigan. Kamala Harris remains Biden’s running mate, while Trump’s choice, potentially his son, Donald Trump Jr., remains uncertain. Jon Decker recommended utilizing the webpage for a comprehensive overview of the elections.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Jon Decker for his presentation and for answering the questions from participants. A special thank you to AmChams – AmCham Netherlands and AmCham Belgium for their collaboration, which made this event possible.
