On May 3 we took a delegation consisting of AmCham members and U.S. Embassy representatives to yet another outreach trip. This time we got to visit amazing Raplamaa and spectacular O-I Glass factory. We were warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Kohila, Heiki Hepner and also Reelika Vaabel and Janek Kadarik from RAEK (Raplamaa Arendus- ja Ettevõtluskeskus). All of them, and also Anneli Hansen from Invest in Estonia, gave presentations on the reasons why they are so passionate about Raplamaa and what are the reasons the foreign investors should choose this county. AmCham member and Board member, Carl Pucci who is also residing in Rapla, also gave a presentation from a business perspective.
After a tasty lunch at Pargi Resto, our delegation was taken to Järvakandi where the O-I Glass Factory is located. The company’s HR Manager, Ethel Moora and the Plant Manager and Board Member of the company, Kaido Turro gave an overview of the history and shared some insides. After an active Q&A session the delegation was taken on a tour.
Our sincere hank you’s go to: EAS, RAEK, Anneli Hansen , O-I Glass Factory and all the participants.
