On June 1, AmCham Estonia members gathered for the first in-person event this season- AmCham Power Lunch with the Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and IT Mr. Andres Sutt!
The event was organized as a follow-up to the online meeting that took place in April with Minister Sutt which turned out to be so popular that many questions were left unanswered. We are very grateful to Minister Sutt and his team who have happily agreed to have another meeting with our members, and, once again, it was a huge success!
The event began with an opening by Amcham President Mr. Indrek Laul followed by the Digital Society Key Topics overview by Pirja Jha, who presented the Digital Society’s Position Paper and the key message from the members.
Minister Andres Sutt began his speech with the message that Estonia has done well on the COVID-19 crisis and the infection cases are on the downward side. He also mentioned the importance of vaccinating the Estonian population. Many other topics were discussed during the event, such as the importance of technology development during and after the COVID-19 crisis, the travel and tourism sector recovery, EU priorities when it comes to the Digital Single Market, and many more. The event ended with a very active Q&A session from our members.
We sincerely thank Minister Andres Sutt and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications for the active cooperation with AmCham Estonia and its members. A big thank you goes to Swissotel, Tallinn for the excellent service and food during the event. We also want to thank all members that participated in our event and so actively proposed their questions, concerns, and topics during the event.
