Founded in 1995, the International School of Estonia is a coeducational IB day school providing a world-class education from preschool & Kindergarten through Secondary. We teach in English and welcome all nationalities.
Organization and Curriculum
ISE is owned by the school parent community who elect the governing Supervisory School Board.
We have been an International Baccalaureate World School since 2003! The oldest IB school in Estonia. ISE has an Early Years programme that utilizes exploratory learning approaches and follows the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) from the Primary Years Programme (PYP) Grades 1-5, the Middle Years Programme Grades 6 through 10, and the Diploma Programme (DP) covering Grades 11 and 12. These programmes are recognized and fully licensed by the Education Ministry of Estonia and the International Baccalaureate Organization.
We are the only triple accredited school in Estonia, adhering to the highest international standards set by the Council of International Schools, jointly with the Northeast Association of Schools and Colleges out of the USA. ISE students can earn the prestigious IB diploma or US diploma that incorporates a flexible practical-studies program. Students participate in a wide variety of free after-school activities.
We are the preferred school of the US embassy in Tallinn with support from the US State Department’s Office of Overseas Schools, as well as families from multiple other embassies, NATO, and multinational technology companies with the most diverse and experienced international teaching faculty in Estonia.
