On November 3, to celebrate the launch of Meta Boost Guide to Green in Estonia, META in partnership with AmCham Estonia and the Green Tiger held a morning seminar at the Hektor Container Hotel Tallinn. This seminar was moderated by Vitnija Saldava , Public Policy Manager, Baltics at Meta.
Madis Kallas, Minister of Environment delivered the introductory address, followed by a overview of key sustainability priorities for META by Eoghan Griffin, Head of Sustainability, EMEA, Meta and a presentation from Erkki Vedder, Head of Community, Green Tiger Foundation. The keynote messages were followed by a very lively panel discussion moderated by Mervet Kägu, head of the AmCham Sustainability Working Group. The panel consisted of Liisianne Kruusmägi, Sales and Marketing Manager at Hektor Container Hotel, Kristjan Peäske, Restaurateur at Lee Restaurant, Erkki Vedder and Kadi Kenk , Advisor to the Minister, Ministry of the Environment.
During the panel discussion the following main issues were addressed:
– The pressing challenges that SMBs–especially those in the food and hospitality sectors–face in the journey to carbon reduction
– Meta’s commitment to supporting local businesses in their green transition
– Key figures from the field of sustainable development
