On May 15 our dear member Telia Eesti kindly hosted us for our Annual General Meeting 2018 – we were extremely happy to see the full house for this event!
This year our AGM consisted of two parts – during the first hour we shared the recap of the year 2017 with facts & figures, financials and advocacy & policy reports. After having voted and approved the Annual Report 2017 and changes to the by-laws, we introduced our plans for 2018, including new members recently joined the Chamber – Betsafe, Executive Lab, Ilyashev & Partners Law Office and USA Expat CPA OÜ – we are delighted to welcome you on board! To conclude the program of the first hour was one of the most important parts of the meeting – the election of the AmCham Board for the 2018-2020 term. Each member had a chance to cast their vote and based on their votes, the newly elected Board members are:
- Andrus Alber (Finora Capital)
- Niels Hollender (Nordisk Consulting Group LLC)
- Pirjo Jha (PwC Legal)
- Kadri Mägi-Lehtsi (Roche)
- Hannes Reinula (Eastman Specialties)
- Kai Tammist (Philip Morris Eesti)
They will serve the Board together with Indrek Laul (Estonia Piano Factory) and Mihail Burõhh (Meriton Family Estate), who are already serving for the 2017-2019 term.
For the second half of the event we had an extremely interesting thought-provoking presentation by CEO of Telia, Dan Strömberg on “How New Technologies Will shape Our Future?” followed with an active Q&A session.
