AmCham Morning Workshop with Franklin Covey “Sharpen the Saw”

February 10, 2016 | ‒

On February 10, AmCham teamed up with FranklinCovey once again and hosted a workshop for all AmCham members.

Last October, our members had an opportunity to briefly explore The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This time, the topic was ‘Sharpen the Saw’ where the focus was on the 7th Habit – the habit of renewal.

Habit 7 is the habit of staying sharp physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Over 40 AmCham members gathered on a rainy winter morning to Park Inn by Radisson Meriton to learn about paradigms, principles, changing habits and much more. Humans are made up of four dimensions – body, mind, heart and spirit. Each aspect requires continuous renewal to remain in balance. If one is neglected, it will negatively impact the other three. In the same way, if each is nourshed, all four will nourish.

Comment from FranklinCovey:

“Habit 7 is preserving and enhancing the greatest asset you have – you. It’s about nurturing the goose that lays the golden eggs, which is the essence of effectiveness. Habit 7 surrounds the other habits on the 7 Habits Maturity Continuum because it is the habit that makes all the others possible. The hour you invest in the Daily Private Victory will affect every decision, every relationship, and will greatly improve the quality and effectiveness of every other hour of the day.” Stephen R. Covey

By making the 7 Habits the foundation of your organizational culture, your company will greatly improve the results in areas that are most important to you. Please contact FranklinCovey Estonia (www.franklincovey.ee) to learn about the benefits you could gain from applying the 7 Habits in your organisation.

We truly thank our event partner FranklinCovey and their trainer Signe Korjus. She once again managed to bring the essence of the topic to the audience very effectively. In the end, FranklinCovey raffled the book by Stephen R. Covey. Congratulations to the raffle winner – Artur Karkus from Park Inn By Radisson Meriton Spa Hotel!

We also thank Park Inn by Radisson Meriton for hosting us and all the participants who came out and attended the event.
