On February 1, AmCham Estonia in cooperation with the Foreign Investors Council of Estonia (FICE) held the 2023 Pre-Election Debate with representatives of the following 6 parties:
- Reform (Andres Sutt)
- EKRE (Martin Helme)
- Center Party (Tanel Kiik)
- Social Democrats (Riina Sikkut)
- Pro Patria (Urmas Reinsalu)
This 2 hour interactive discussion was moderated by Andreas Kaju, META Advisory who also serves as the Vice-Chair of the AmCham Public Policy Committee.
Many important topics were brought to the table for discussion and debate, among them: Taxation, Healthcare, Talent Attraction and Retention, Migration, Education, Defense, Digital Economy and many others. Towards the end of the session, members of AmCham and FICE who were in the audience, got a chance to ask their questions.
It was a truly interesting and, at times, heated discussion about the future of Estonia. The event was live-streamed by ERR News and the full recording of the debate is available HERE.
We sincerely thank every speaker for finding the time to come, represent their party and express their positions. Our special thank you goes to Andreas Kaju for an excellent job moderating the debate and impeccable time-keeping skills, Nordic Hotel Forum team for their professionalism and FICE for cooperation.
We wish best of luck to all parties in the upcoming elections on March 5! We look forward to working closely with the newly-formed government in April and contributing to the positive change!
