Annual Pan-Baltic Amchams Meeting

May 23, 2019 | ‒

On May 23-24, 2019 members from 3 AmChams in the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania) gathered for a  2-day Annual Pan-Baltic Amchams’ meeting! This time we decided to combine our yearly regional outreach trip with the Pan-Baltic meeting and took the 3 delegations with over 50 participants in total to the ‘city of good thoughts’- TARTU!

During our networking speaker lunch we were honored to meet with the Vice-Mayor of Tartu Raimond Tamm, EAS Investment Consultant in South Estonia Asso Uibo and Kristel Reim, the Director of the UT’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center. They gave an informative overview of the region from the administrative, business and of course educational perspective.
Since the mutual topics of this year’s meeting were the future of workforce and healthcare, we continued the program with the visit of the Genome Center and their lab as well as with the 2 amazing sessions on the topics with presentations from Professor Andres Vôrk and from the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Raul Eamets, also a special presentation by Indrek and Katrin Rahi from Thomas International Baltics and a panel discussion with the representatives from the healthcare sector from the 3 countries.

On the second day the program continued with the 2 company visits: innovative and outgoing Cleveron and data science company Mooncascade.

We have truly enjoyed those 2 days full of new knowledge, innovative and inspiring meetings and endless networking opportunities!

Thank you, Enterprise Estonia (EAS) and Asso Uibo for supporting us and sponsoring the transportation!

A huge thank you to AmCham Latvia and American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and your delegations for coming all the way to Tartu and participating. It was a blast!! See you in Latvia 2020!
