Have we promised that it is going to be a very special year?! And once we promise, we deliver!! So what could be a better start to the year than getting to meet and greet the new Head of State?!
On January 17, over 100 AmCham members and other invited investors and members of the diplomatic corps gathered at Nordic Hotel Forum to meet and greet the President of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid.The event was so popular that it sold out within a few days!!
At the event Madam President covered quite a the new Startup Visa project to the overall business climate in Estonia.. She also touched upon the taxation topic when it comes to the labor force and spoke to the current geopolitical and security issues. President Kaljulaid also commented on the e-Estonia being a great trademark for the country, but expressed her concern about the cyber security.
Kersti Kaljulaid assured all the investors that Estonia, as well as all the Baltic countries, are a safe place for investment. After the informative speech Madam President answered a few questions from the audience. We continued our meeting with a networking lunch.
