OCT 6: AmCham Visit to Tallinn Children’s Hospital

October 6, 2026 | 14:30 ‒ 16:30

On October 6, AmCham members had the privilege of an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Tallinn Children’s Hospital, Estonia’s leading—and only standalone—pediatric hospital.

We were welcomed with exceptional warmth by the hospital’s CEO, Konstantin Rebrov, who personally introduced us to the hospital’s work, values, and vision for the future of pediatric healthcare in Estonia. His generous hospitality and openness made the visit both highly informative and genuinely memorable.

During the visit, we gained valuable insight into how Tallinn Children’s Hospital combines world-class medical expertise with a deeply family-centred approach to care. Parents and caregivers are regarded as essential partners throughout a child’s healthcare journey and are actively involved in decision-making, treatment, and recovery.

Our visit also offered a closer look at the hospital’s remarkable breadth of expertise, with compassionate and personalised care provided across 31 pediatric specialties. We learned how advanced medical technologies, digital health solutions, and modern treatment approaches are being integrated into everyday care, alongside a multidisciplinary model that addresses not only children’s medical needs but also their emotional and developmental well-being.

The discussion extended beyond clinical care to the hospital’s important role in advancing pediatric medicine through research, education, and international collaboration. Since May 2026, Tallinn Children’s Hospital has been a member of the European Children’s Hospitals Organisation (ECHO), further strengthening its international connections and commitment to the highest standards of pediatric healthcare.

The afternoon left us with a strong impression of an institution where medical excellence, innovation, and human compassion go hand in hand.

Our sincere thanks to CEO Konstantin Rebrov and the entire Tallinn Children’s Hospital team for opening their doors to AmCham and for hosting us with such warmth and generosity. It was an inspiring visit and a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand the dedication behind the care provided to Estonia’s children and their families.
