Last Saturday, May 9, AmCham Board Members had the distinct honor of meeting with the visiting U.S. Congressional Delegation from the House Ways and Means Committee during their visit to Estonia.
The delegation included:
• Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), Chairman, House Ways and Means Committee
• Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), House Ways and Means Committee
• Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), House Ways and Means Committee
• Rep. Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), House Ways and Means Committee
• Rep. Nathaniel Moran (R-TX), House Ways and Means Committee
• Rep. Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ), House Armed Services Committee
We were also pleased to welcome their staffers and liaisons, as well as Ambassador Roman Pipko, who joined the lunch meeting.
The discussion provided a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives on the transatlantic relationship, economic cooperation, and the many important issues shaping today’s business and policy environment. The open and constructive dialogue highlighted the importance of strong U.S.–Estonia ties and continued collaboration between the public and private sectors.
We are incredibly grateful to the delegation and to the U.S. Embassy Tallinn for creating this excellent opportunity for meaningful engagement and thoughtful discussion.
