2nd Pan-Baltic AmChams Meeting in Latvia

January 16, 2017 | ‒

On February 9 and 10, AmCham Estonia delegation consisting of 13 delegates joined other AmCham members from the Baltic states for the annual Pan-Baltic meeting. This two day program consisted of multiple company visits, networking opportunities including a visit to airBaltic, Baltic 3D, networking reception at the US Ambassador’s residence and a workshop at Microsoft site devoted to “Talent Attraction and Acquisition”!

On February 9, we started with an exciting visit to the world’s most punctual airline –airBaltic. During the behind-the-scenes tour of the company all the participants had a chance to meet with the Chairman of the Board, Mr. Martin Gauss who gave an overview of the current situation of the company and also shared some plans for the future. After the official part our delegation together with the other participants had a chance to explore the training center, where pilots and cabin crew are trained.

At the Baltic 3D office tour our members had quite a hands-on experience during which we got to learn about the high-end industrial 3D printers and materials providing top class print quality and product accuracy. The evening ended with a networking reception kindly hosted by the US Ambassador in Latvia, Nancy Bikoff Pettit. We are glad to announce that our members also contributed to the charity project organized by the Embassy to support the construction of playground at the Mucenieki refugee facility!

On February 10, our participants gathered at Microsoft Latvia office to learn about the importance of the employer branding presented by ERDA, and also find out about the youth development program Go Beyond. The presentations were followed by an office tour of the premises and a networking coffee break.

We would like to sincerely thank our colleagues from AmCham Latvia for the amazing program and their hospitality! And of course we would also like to thank all our participants for joining us for this amazing trip! We truly hope that this annual tradition will continue and our members will get to meet soon!
