This month, our newest committee, the Tourism and Travel Committee, gathered members from travel, hotel and other tourism industries, to discuss current issues and problems they face in Estonia. The committee’s mission is to assist the state and industry in making Estonia one of the top European destinations in terms of total travel expenditures. This would help enhance the state’s economic vitality through job creation, increased tax revenues, and new investments in this sector. Currently, the committee is working on a policy position paper outlining the main issues and corresponding recommendations to publish in this year’s Advocacy Packet.
